Spent the night at a Flying J. Spring was arriving, it was nicely landscaped, and I could park in this back area away from the traffic. Once it got dark, all the activity was near the front by the pumps, and it was a peaceful night.
There are many truck stops that allow RVs to park. As a company policy, Pilot and Flying J typically allow it if there are no local ordinances against it. Truck stops can be very active and loud, but many are nice and quiet. I check on-line and do a google maps satellite view to assess each stop I am considering. Generally, they have all been acceptable to date.
As a thank you, I always fill my tank, and pick up any supplies, road snacks, and morning coffee before heading out. And even when not parking overnight, I now re-fuel at Flying J along my routes as a matter of choice.
