Riding the Outer Banks Ferries

Traveling via ferry to the Outer Banks in Virginia

Traveled the ferries several times while touring around the Outer Banks in VA. In heavy rain, cold, and rocky water, to days like this, warm, sunny, and calm. This trip was a short 20min ride. The longest was 2.5 hours from Cedar Island to Ocracoke. Much appreciated having a stove, refrigerator, and comfortable chair/bed as needed. It was also the coldest with rain and winds the entire trip.

And since the Class B is the same as a standard car length, I don’t have to pay the oversize rates that typical RVs need to pay. Double, sometimes triple depending on the length of the RV.
